Learning Room from BPIPI in facing the New Normal : Online Workshop #1 Wallet Pattern Making

Tuesday, May 12, 2020, BPIPI held its first online workshop with the material Wallet Pattern MakingThis activity responds to thenew normalsituation caused by the Covid-19 situation. BPIPI, as a public service institution, tries to facilitate the community to improve skills in the field of making leather and footwear products even during a pandemic situation.

The online workshop was conducted by BPIPI instructors and was attended by more than 30 participants from various regions in Indonesia. The majority of participants consisted of SMEs and students. Before the activity participants were asked to prepare the tools and materials to be used. Then for approximately three hours (13.00 – 15.00 WIB), the instructor explains the steps for making a wallet pattern in detail through video calls and interactive questions and answers.

Several technical obstacles did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants and instructors in running the online workshop. The high enthusiasm of the participants proved this and it didn't just stop at the online meeting. After the training was over, communication, consultation, and sharing of the pattern trials they had made were carried out through the chat group that had been provided.

At the end of the activity, BPIPI evaluated by asking for feedback from participants as input for BPIPI for the next online workshop activity. Even though in limitations, BPIPI tries to provide the best service to get to BPIPI Achievement.
